Youth and Spoken English Commission

Youth and Spoken English Commission

Empowering the Next Generation with Faith, Confidence, and Voice

The youth are not only the future of the Church—they are her vibrant present. The Youth and Spoken English Commission is dedicated to accompanying, inspiring, and empowering young people to grow into mature, faith-filled, and responsible individuals. It is a ministry that walks beside the young, listens to their hearts, responds to their challenges, and helps them discover who they are in Christ.

In addition, the commission recognizes that communication is key to confidence and opportunity. Through Spoken English programs, the youth are trained to express themselves with clarity, courage, and grace—opening doors to academic success, job opportunities, and leadership.

A Vision for Faith-Filled and Future-Ready Youth

Our young people today live in a fast-changing world, surrounded by social pressures, digital distractions, and identity crises. This commission responds by creating spaces where they are loved, formed, and led to Christ.

Inspired by 1 Timothy 4:12 —

“Let no one despise your youth, but be an example… in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity” —
the commission helps the youth become not just dreamers, but doers and disciples.

Key Areas of Ministry

1. Youth Animation and Leadership:

We organize youth gatherings, retreats, faith formation camps, leadership training programs, and spiritual renewal seminars. These are not just events—they are encounters with Christ and the Church. Young people are trained to take leadership roles in parish youth groups and diocesan activities.

2. Career and Life Skill Guidance:

Recognizing the practical needs of youth, the commission offers guidance in choosing career paths, managing time, and dealing with personal issues. We also offer sessions on digital discipline, healthy relationships, and discernment.

3. Spoken English Training:

Language is a bridge to confidence and opportunity. Through tailored Spoken English programs, the commission helps rural and tribal youth communicate effectively, especially in interviews, public speaking, and social settings. These courses also help break social and educational barriers, giving them a better chance in life.

4. Faith Formation and Sacramental Life:

We help young people understand the beauty of the Church’s teachings, grow in personal prayer, and participate meaningfully in the Eucharist and the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Many discover their vocation and purpose through these encounters.

5. Missionary Spirit and Service:

The youth are encouraged to participate in outreach activities, social service programs, and diocesan missions. They are taught that true joy is found not only in receiving but in giving and serving others.

A Ministry of Accompaniment

The most important thing we do is walk with our young people. In a world where they are often judged, ignored, or left behind, this commission provides listening ears, open hearts, and spiritual guidance.

We want every young person to know: You are loved. You matter. God has a beautiful plan for your life.
